Hoop Dreams Athletics AAU is a true player development program in the Atlanta area. The problem with MOST AAU teams is that they do not make the athletes in their program better! You don’t have to be ranked to play for Hoop Dreams Athletics. Kharyssa Richardson wasn’t ranked when she came to play for us, she was an unknown athlete just like most other that play basketball. She was overlooked!

Coach Dorian Williams (Director of Hoop Dreams Athletics) started developing her skillset on the first day that she came to this program. He worked on her ball handling skills, her shoot skills, and her basketball IQ. He was intentional on developing both her skillset and her mindset. Kharyssa Richardson went from being an unknown athlete to now being a College Senior on a Full Basketball Scholarship at Mississippi State University. This came from the coaches in our program developing her (as we do every athlete that comes to play for us) and then marketing her on all of our social media platforms.

Hoop Dreams Athletics is a program of a nonprofit organization called In Time of Need Incorporated (www.intimeofneed.org). All of the faces that you see above, came to Hoop Dreams Athletics with no scholarship offers. None of these athletes where on anyone’s ranking list. They were all unknown and overlooked! These girls came to our program, and they went through our development process. The important thing to remember is, we DEVELOP every player in our program (from the best player to the worst player).
